Ge Profile Appliances
The planning and the design before the work starts. With the new GE Profile appliances the design work just got that much easier. This time we decided to give the kitchen that industrial look and did everything in the contemporary design with those wonderful and clean-looking stainless steel fronts. It was not until we discovered the many possibilities of the GE profile appliances that we decided to go with them as opposed to other brands.
We had certain basic requirements going into the project. We wanted double ovens below and a micro-wave convection oven above. The refrigerator had to have the freezer in a pull out section in the bottom and we wanted a double-opening door in the top. The GE profile appliances also offered us a filtered cold water system that was a plus and we jumped right on to it when we saw it.
While many people find it hard to believe, the GE profile appliances that we were most interested in for our new kitchen were dishwashers. Our old dishwasher had been used a minimum of twice a day and was only efficient about half the time. I hated opening the door and seeing the soap dispenser still full. My new GE dishwasher has an automatic soap dispenser that I just empty the bottle into and let it decide how much is needed to do the dishes. Because of the GE profile appliances design it does not have all those annoying lights on the front that pull your eye to the dishwasher. All controls are hidden out of sight -- a definite plus.
We had a minimum requirement that the stovetop be a separate unit from the ovens. GE profile appliances was once again able to provide this for us. Their GE 36-inch induction electric cooktop had the elements we wanted: 19 control settings and built-in safety features to turn the burners off when not in use and to prevent them from accidentally being turned on. As we do have a constant influx of grandchildren to our home and kitchen this was a very important feature for us.
Now that the cherry wood cabinets, granite counter tops and GE profile appliances have been installed we have kitchen that looks like something right out of a showroom. And we do show it off at every change we get. The remodeling was fun, almost easy and looks beautiful -- thanks to all our new matching appliances.
